Kathmandu- President of Nepal Financial Institutions Association Sunil Pant has said that the bad loans of banks and financial institutions are increasing recently. Speaking at the second National Banking Discourse 2024 held at Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu, he said that the banking discourse will help the banking sector as well as the country’s economy.

He also said that financial literacy will help the economy. He mentioned that the Nepal Rastra Bank has conducted financial equality programs and commented that there is encouraging progress in the digital banking sector of Nepal. He said that the banking discourse will provide special support in addressing the current economic challenges.
