Kathmandu – Diwas Kumar Sapkota, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PhonePe, has said that Nepal is making rapid progress after Corona in cross-border payments. Responding to the questions raised in the fourth session of ‘Second Banking National Banking Discourse 2024’ on ‘Challenges of Digital Ecosystem and Cross-Border Payments in Nepal’, CEO Sapkota said that after Corona, Nepal has moved forward in a positive direction in cross-border payments.
CEO Sapkota said, “We are making further progress in cross-border payments after the Covid-19 through UPI and other means.”
In the fourth session of the discourse, ‘Digital Ecosystem and Challenges of Cross Border Payments in Nepal’, Krishna Ram Dhunju, Director of Payment System Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, Sanjiv Subba of Fintech Alliance, Nileshman Singh Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer of NCHL, Diwas Kumar Sapkota, Chief Executive Officer of PhonePe are participating. The facilitator for this session is Michael Siddhi, Head of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal.
