Government raising 10 billion domestic debt


Kathmandu – The government is going to raise domestic debt worth 10 billion rupees on Wednesday (today). The Public Debt Management Office is going to issue Development Bond 2092 worth 10 billion rupees on 16th July.

Banks and financial institutions, non-banking financial institutions, insurance companies, organized organizations and Nepali citizens can purchase this 11-year bond.

Applicants willing to give loans can apply till 3 pm today on Wednesday. The government will take this loan on 17th July and will pay the interest on 17th July 2092.

The interest rate of this bond will be determined by negotiation, and there is a provision that loans can be taken and given by keeping the bond as collateral.
