Kathmandu – Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari has said that the monetary policy for the current fiscal year 2081/82 has brought enthusiasm to the private sector and economic activities.

Addressing a discussion program with the private sector on the monetary policy, Governor Adhikari stated that the policy aims to encourage the private sector and boost economic activities.

Governor Adhikari also claimed that the monetary policy is based on the international capital market, the current state of Nepal’s economy, and the basic needs of Nepalese society.

He mentioned that there are some complaints about certain areas not being included but emphasized that the National Bank treats all areas equally. He said that although the private sector has been given freedom, it will not be allowed to act in a way that creates economic instability. “We will not allow actions that cause economic instability,” said Governor Adhikari.
