In the fiscal year 2080/81, life insurance companies in Nepal accumulated over 1.5 billion rupees in total insurance premiums. During this period, the industry issued a total of 137,074,635 insurance policies, amassing a combined total of 1 trillion 56 billion 33 million 14 thousand rupees.
Leading the sector, Nepal Life Insurance Company collected the highest amount of insurance premiums, totaling 40.85 billion rupees. Following closely, National Life Insurance gathered 19.20 billion rupees, while LIC Nepal secured 18.10 billion rupees in premiums.
Other notable contributors include Himalayan Life with 16.6 billion rupees, Suryajyoti Life with 9.5 billion rupees, and National Life Insurance Company with 8.71 billion rupees.
Asian Life collected 8.5 billion rupees, Citizen Life gathered 6.21 billion rupees, and Sanima Reliance Life accumulated 6.18 billion rupees in total insurance fees.
Additionally, Met Life collected 5.67 billion rupees, and IME Life gathered 4.74 billion rupees in premiums. Prabhu Mahalakshmi Life collected 4.37 billion rupees, Reliable Nepal Life amassed 4.20 billion rupees, and Sun Nepal Life secured 3.88 billion rupees in total insurance fees.
