Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the need to establish and expand numerous industries to boost production with small-scale capital. Addressing the ‘Start-Up Nation 2030’ program today, Prime Minister Oli stated that with innovative and creative thinking, youth and women can find employment and income opportunities at home without needing to go abroad for work.

He emphasized the importance of expanding youth entrepreneurship to replace imports with domestic production, reduce poverty, increase national confidence, and achieve sustainable development goals. Prime Minister Oli urged banks to provide loans to such enterprises based on project viability rather than collateral, while also clarifying that the government will continue to support cooperatives, even though some fraudulent elements may try to discredit them as a whole.

“We need to boost entrepreneurship based on technology, skills, and capital so that the entire country can see the results in production. Any start-up invested in by the government will not fail; it should be treated as a campaign. The government will not reduce its facilitation to the private sector for the country’s prosperity,” Prime Minister Oli said. “We have not come to wave the flag in the government. At this age, I did not intend to become prime minister again. I took on the responsibility to make a difference.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Industry Minister Damodar Bhandari, Labor Minister Sharatsingh Bhandari, Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Chandra Prasad Dhakal, and other participants are said to be attending the event.
