Mumbai – Nandani Thapa, Senior Director of the Nepal Tourism Board, stated that a tripartite agreement has been made to facilitate millions of Mastercard users in India. She mentioned that the agreement, concluded at the Global Fintech Festival, a three-day event in Mumbai, will make it easier for Mastercard users to make payments in Nepal.

In Mumbai, the Nepal Tourism Board signed a tripartite agreement with Mastercard India and Moco Digital Wallet. According to the agreement, Indian Mastercard users will be able to make electronic payments through Moco when visiting Nepal. Thapa explained that this will allow millions of Mastercard users in India to travel without the need to carry cash.

“There’s no need to elaborate on the beauty of Nepal,” Thapa said. “The Himalayas, hills, and trekking routes in Nepal are world-renowned.” She also spoke about the campaign in India titled “Hatima Se Behal, Chalo Nepal,” emphasizing that this agreement will simplify travel for Indians visiting Nepal by both air and road.
