Chitwan – The driver, co-driver, and owner of the truck that fell from Seemaltal on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in Chitwan are still out of contact. Police investigations suggest that the incident may have been deliberate rather than an accident.

According to the police, Truck No. 6 B 6283 was transporting 2,225 cartons of sunflower oil from Shubhamalika Trading Pvt. Ltd. in Siddharth Nagar, Bhairahawa, on August 28. Based on invoice number SB 157-81/82 found inside the truck, the oil, valued at Rs 4,205,259 including VAT, was supposed to be delivered to Bhairavi Corporate Pvt. Ltd. in Lalitpur.

However, after being out of contact all day on August 29, the truck was found in an apparent accident on the morning of August 30. According to DSP Bhesha Bahadur Rizal of Chitwan Police, the driver, Yama Bahadur Ghale, the co-driver, and the truck’s owner remain unreachable, with the driver’s phone switched off.

What is even more puzzling is that despite the truck being loaded with oil worth Rs 4.2 million, less than half of the oil was found inside the vehicle. DSP Rizal stated that the sender and recipient of the goods have been contacted.

DSP Rizal also suggested the possibility of a larger conspiracy, given the ongoing lack of contact with the driver, co-driver, and vehicle owner. However, the police have located the driver’s residence and are actively trying to establish communication with him.
