KATHMANDU – Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been arrested by the police.

Superintendent of Police Deepak Raj Awasthi from Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau informed that Prasai was taken into custody on Sunday for an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act.

The arrest followed a complaint filed by a woman in the Cyber Bureau. Upon receiving the complaint, the Kathmandu District Court authorized the police to issue an arrest warrant and proceed with the investigation against Prasai.
