Investors Lose Rs 1 Billion as NEPSE Drops by 2.09 Points in Post-Tihar Trading

Kathmandu, Nov 9 – The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a slight decline last week, shedding 2.09 points over two days of trading following the Tihar holiday. The index opened at 2,677.62 points and closed at 2,675.51 points, dropping by 0.21 points on Tuesday and 1.88 points on Wednesday.

During this period, NEPSE fluctuated between a high of 2,696.85 points and a low of 2,670.51 points, with a total volatility of 26.34 points. The daily turnover was Rs 4.20 billion on Tuesday, which increased to Rs 5.22 billion on Wednesday, totaling Rs 9.42 billion over the two days.

Market capitalization dipped slightly from Rs 4.260 trillion in the previous week to Rs 4.259 trillion, resulting in a loss of Rs 1 billion in investor portfolios.
