Kathmandu – Sanima Bank has signed an agreement with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) to enable seamless cross-border QR payments for Alipay+ network users.
Under this agreement, tourists and Alipay+ users from countries including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Thailand, South Korea, Sweden, and Italy, among others, will be able to make payments in Nepal using domestic wallets through Nepal Pay QR and its interoperable QR codes.
The agreement was signed by Hemraj Sanjal, Chief Deposit Officer of Sanima Bank, and Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer of NCHL.
This collaboration between Sanima Bank and Nepal Clearing House aims to promote convenient and secure digital payments for tourists in Nepal. Sanima Bank currently operates 134 branches and 125 ATMs across all seven provinces of Nepal.
