Nearly NPR 4 Billion Revenue Collected from Real Estate Transactions in December

Kathmandu – Revenue collected from real estate transactions in December saw an increase compared to the previous month. In November, NPR 2.7 billion was collected, whereas December recorded NPR 3.87 billion in revenue from property dealings.

According to the Department of Land Management and Archives, a total of 43,379 property transactions took place across the country in December, compared to 33,514 transactions in November.

The Land Revenue Office in Lagankhel collected NPR 339.5 million, the highest among offices in Kathmandu Valley. Other offices, including Kalanki, Chabahil, Sankhu, Manamaiju, and Tokha, collected NPR 265.7 million, NPR 225.8 million, NPR 75 million, NPR 72.6 million, and NPR 71.2 million, respectively.

Outside the Valley, the Biratnagar office collected NPR 104.9 million, while the Chitwan office recorded the highest collection at NPR 359.8 million.

In December, service tax amounted to NPR 260.6 million, registration fees to NPR 2.63 billion, and capital gains tax reached NPR 1.31 billion, according to the department.
