Kathmandu – In the first five months (Shrawan to Kartik) of the current fiscal year 2081/82, 14 non-life insurance companies operating in Nepal collectively earned NPR 17.17 billion in total insurance premiums.
According to data from the Nepal Insurance Authority, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance led the industry with the highest premium income, totaling NPR 2.19 billion during the review period.
Siddhartha Premier Insurance ranked second, generating NPR 1.76 billion in premiums, followed closely by Shikhar Insurance, which collected NPR 1.74 billion. Similarly, IGI Prudential Insurance earned NPR 1.45 billion in premium income during the same period.
These figures highlight the robust performance of Nepal’s non-life insurance sector despite economic challenges.
