Suyog Shrestha, President of DBAN, to Join Inaugural Session of 3rd National Banking Discourse 2025


KathmanduSuyog Shrestha, President of the Development Bankers Association Nepal (DBAN), is set to participate in the inaugural session of the Third National Banking Discourse 2025, organized by Bankingkhabar.com. The event will take place on 22nd Jestha (4th June 2025) at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel.

Shrestha, a Chartered Accountant by profession, has been involved in the banking sector for over two decades. He has held leadership positions at major banks including Himalayan Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank. He previously served as the CEO of S Development Bank and currently leads Sangrila Development Bank as its CEO. In addition, he serves as the President of DBAN, the umbrella organization of development bank CEOs.

The event will be inaugurated by Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, with several high-profile figures from Nepal Rastra Bank, the private sector, and commercial and development banks expected to attend the opening session.

The discourse will feature four panel discussions and a special session, covering a range of timely and critical topics in the banking sector:

  2. “Credit Access Issues in Small and Medium Enterprises: Innovative Practices, Existing Solutions, and Nepal’s Readiness”

  4. “Monetary Policy: Strategic Alignment of Fiscal and Monetary Policies to Break the Cycle of Economic Slowdown”

A special session will be held with former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.
