Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Acting CEO of Nabil Bank, to Speak at Third National Banking Discourse 2025


KathmanduManoj Kumar Gyawali, Acting CEO of Nabil Bank, will participate as a speaker in the first session of the Third National Banking Discourse 2025, scheduled to take place on 22nd Jestha (4th June 2025). He will speak on the theme: “Challenges in Credit Expansion in Nepal: Targeted Interventions, Sectoral Adaptation, and Emerging Possibilities.”

Born in Dailekh in 2034 BS, Gyawali began his banking career at Nepal Rastra Bank, where he served for five years. Over the years, he has held senior leadership positions including CFO, CEO, and Board Member at Global IME Bank, and also served as Managing Director at Global IME Capital for four years. He was also DCEO and CEO at Jyoti Bikas Bank.

Currently serving as Senior Deputy CEO at Nabil Bank, Gyawali has played a key role in shaping Nepal’s banking landscape. During his time at Jyoti Bikas Bank, he also served as General Secretary of the Development Bankers Association (DBAN). A Chartered Accountant by profession, Gyawali also held the position of Treasurer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN).

Gyawali has received several prestigious honors, including the National Service Honor 2074 by Focus Nepal, the Economic Development Service Award 2075 by Civil Society Nepal, the Student Orientation Recognition Award 2078 by Lumbini College, and the Excellence in Banking Leadership Award 2024. He has participated in professional programs across countries such as India, China, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Germany.

The Third National Banking Discourse 2025 is being organized by Bankingkhabar.com with Global IME Bank as the main sponsor. The event will be held at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel and will be inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel.

The conference will feature four panel discussions and one special session, covering critical topics such as:
