A thought-provoking workshop titled “CBDC – Digital Currency of Nepal” was recently conducted, offering participants a deep dive into the evolution of money from the ancient barter system to the revolutionary potential of blockchain technology.

The workshop explored the rapid transformation of the global financial landscape and the critical role of blockchain in shaping emerging forms of digital money, including Cryptocurrencies, Stablecoins, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), Digital Assets, and the latest innovation Tokenized Bank Deposits.
The session served as a reflective platform to understand how digitization is reshaping the way economies operate, urging Nepal to proactively adapt to this global shift. Speakers emphasized the need for the country to embrace technological innovation, invest in robust digital infrastructure, and prepare for the next generation of money systems, ensuring Nepal remains competitive and future-ready in the digital age.

The workshop witnessed active engagement and insightful discussions, with participants expressing strong interest in creating a digitally inclusive and resilient financial ecosystem in Nepal.
