Kathmandu – Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has been honored with the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Award 2024, marking its second consecutive win at the regional level.
The bank received the “Certificate of Merit Award” under the Financial Services Sector, presented by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). The award was granted based on the bank’s Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2023/24, recognizing its excellence in financial transparency, accountability, and good governance.
According to SAFA, the bank’s financial statements—prepared for presentation at its 18th Annual General Meeting—were evaluated highly for clearly and effectively presenting key financial information to shareholders and stakeholders.
The award was formally presented at a ceremony held in Islamabad, Pakistan. Notably, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank had also won the SAFA Award in the previous year, making this a back-to-back achievement.
SAFA is a regional network partner of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and comprises chartered accountant bodies from 11 South Asian countries, including Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Afghanistan.
Each year, SAFA evaluates financial reports published across South Asia and confers awards in various categories. Prior to receiving the regional honor, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank’s financial report was also awarded the “Gold Award” in the Financial Services Category under the National Best Presented Annual Report Award 2024, presented by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal.
