Kathmandu, January 19, 2026 — Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority, Pujan Dhungel Adhikari, will participate as a speaker in the second session of the Third Insurance Discourse 2026.

She will speak in the session titled “Future Roadmap: Restructuring Insurance Policies for Modern Lifestyles” at the event jointly organized by Banking Samachar and News of Insurance.

Dhungel began her career at the then Insurance Board in April 2006 (Baisakh 2063 BS) as an Assistant Director, after gaining nearly one year of experience in the banking sector. She has since accumulated extensive experience in the insurance industry and holds a postgraduate degree.

Her professional expertise includes the development and approval of life and non-life insurance policies, actuarial valuation, microinsurance policy formulation and approval, agricultural and livestock insurance, insurance tariff-related work, insurance development and promotion, and the appointment and regulation of insurance agents.

The Third Insurance Discourse, with Reliable Nepal Life Insurance as the title sponsor, will be held on January 20 (Magh 7), 2026, at Yak & Yeti Hotel, Kathmandu. It will be attended by representatives from regulatory bodies, insurance companies, banks and financial institutions, insurance experts, and stakeholders from various sectors.

The discourse will feature discussions on topics including bancassurance policies, regulatory and market realities, restructuring and transforming the insurance industry for modern lifestyles, the future of health insurance in Nepal, and insurtech innovation—integrating insurance into lifestyle needs.

A special session titled “Economics of Insurance” will also be held, featuring Dr. Prakash Kumar Shrestha, Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission.
