Chairman of FERG Osama Al Rahma to Deliver Keynote at Banking, Fintech and Remittance Discourse 2026

UAE – Osama Al Rahma, Chairman of the Foreign Exchange and Remittance Group (FERG), has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the Banking, Fintech and Remittance Discourse 2026, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates.

FERG serves as the umbrella organization representing exchange houses and remittance companies operating across the UAE.

The two-day discourse, organized by Banking News, will be held on March 31 and April 1, 2026, at Millennium Plaza Downtown Hotel. Al Rahman’s keynote address is scheduled for March 31.

According to the organizers, the event aims to promote the “Green Channel” initiative to facilitate safer, more transparent, and efficient remittance flows from the UAE to Nepal. The discourse will bring together key stakeholders from the banking, fintech, and remittance sectors.

Major exchange houses participating in the event include Al Ansari Exchange, Al Fardan Exchange, Joy Lucas, MyJoy, Lulu Exchange, LM Exchange, AL Ahalia Exchange, Al Dar Exchange, Al Rastamani, Sharaf Exchange, Botim, Remitly, and TapTap Send, among others.

Leading banks such as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), RAK Bank, and Emirates NBD are also expected to join the discussions.

Osama Al Rahma is a Director of Al Fardan Group and the Chief Executive Officer of Al Fardan Exchange LLC. His participation is expected to add significant industry insight to the discourse.

Who is Rahma ?

Mr. Osama Al Rahma is one of the founding member of FERG. He has occupied the roles of Chairman & Vice Chairman of FERG.

He has an experience in the remittance and payment industry for more than three decades. He has a lot of contributions towards elevating the standards of compliance and AML/CTF within the industry.

Mr. Osama worked at Al Fardan Exchange LLC and Al Fardan Group from 1993 in many leadership roles and was CEO since 2011 to 2020.
Mr. Al Rahma was the former Vice Chairman of Dubai Quality Group, a semi-government, non-profit organization and a former Board of Standard of the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM). Mr. Al Rahma earned his postgraduate degree in Management Studies at the University of Hull, UK and a graduate degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Bahrain. Mr. Al Rahma is an alumnus of the J.F. Kennedy School of Government’s Executive Program at Harvard University, in Dubai School of Government and also an alumnus at Queen’s University in Canada for Executive Courses in Strategy and Finance. He has passed several trainings and workshops in Zurich, New York, and Frankfurt.
