RSP’s Newly Elected Office Bearers and Central Committee Members Take Oath


Banking News — Newly elected office bearers and central committee members of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) took the oath of office on Wednesday during a ceremony held at the party’s central office in Chamati, Kathmandu.

RSP President Rabi Lamichhane administered the oath to the newly elected officials and central committee members. During the event, Lamichhane also presented certificates and the party’s symbolic “bell” to the newly elected central committee members before administering the oath to the office bearers.

The officials were elected during the party’s first National General Convention, held in Bharatpur, Chitwan, from June 21 to June 26 (Asar 7–12, 2083 BS). The convention elected a 99-member Central Committee, including one president, two vice presidents, one general secretary, and three joint general secretaries. Lamichhane, who was elected unopposed as party president, had already taken the oath earlier.

The newly elected office bearers include Rabi Lamichhane as President, Swarnim Wagle as Open Vice President, Sobita Gautam as Women’s Vice President, Bipin Kumar Acharya as General Secretary, Asim Shah and Hari Dhakal as Open Joint General Secretaries, and Nisha Dangi as Women’s Joint General Secretary.

According to the party’s Central Election Commission, the Central Committee includes representatives elected under open competition, inclusive categories, and provincial groups, reflecting the party’s organizational and inclusive representation structure.
