Banking News — Police have taken five individuals into custody after seizing 881 vape devices, Rs. 600,000 in cash, and other items during operations in the Kathmandu Valley.

According to the Kathmandu District Police Range, the initial seizure was made during a routine inspection along the Bagmati Corridor near Jambudada Bridge in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-8. Police recovered a large quantity of vape devices from a scooter and detained its riders, Adesh Khadka and Saujan Simkhada, both residents of Gangalfedi in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality.
In a related operation, police stopped a vehicle bearing registration number RF 07671 in Bistagaun, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-7, and arrested the driver, Liu Wei, along with Akash Tamang and Arjun Tamang, both residents of Chilime Rural Municipality-5.
Police later searched Liu Wei’s rented room in the Bagdol area of Lalitpur, where they recovered additional vape devices, cash, and other materials.
The total items seized include 881 vape devices, Rs. 600,000 in cash, four silver elephant statues, and 503 Chinese yuan. Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
