Karnali Province Government’s Budget Unanimously Passed


Banking News — The Karnali Province Government’s budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 (2026/27) has been unanimously approved by the Karnali Provincial Assembly.

The budget was endorsed during the 20th meeting of the eighth session of the second term of the Provincial Assembly held on Friday.

During the meeting, Speaker Nanda Gurung granted Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Rajiv Bikram Shah permission to table a proposal seeking the passage of the Karnali Province Appropriation Bill, 2083, in accordance with Rule 141(12) of the Karnali Provincial Assembly Regulations, 2081, along with the Karnali Province Finance Bill, 2083 under Rule 148, and the overall budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Minister Shah subsequently proposed the approval of the appropriation bill, finance bill, and the overall budget for fiscal year 2083/84 before the assembly.

Following a voice vote, Speaker Gurung announced that the budget had been passed unanimously by the Provincial Assembly.

According to the Speaker, the next meeting of the Karnali Provincial Assembly has been scheduled for 3:00 PM on Monday, Ashar 22 (July 6, 2026).
