Traffic Enforcement Generates Rs. 528,501 in Revenue Within 24 Hours


Banking News — Traffic police in the Kathmandu Valley took action against 1,813 motorists for violating traffic regulations over the past 24 hours, generating Rs. 528,501 in government revenue through fines.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, enforcement actions were taken against nine drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol, 105 for operating ride-sharing services in violation of regulations, 119 for running red lights, and 115 for speeding.

Similarly, 102 motorists were penalized for failing to maintain lane discipline, 79 for honking in no-horn zones, 117 for parking on sidewalks, and 65 for driving on one-way roads.

In addition, 1,110 motorists were fined for various other violations of traffic rules, the traffic police office said.
