Banking News – Police have recovered Rs 548,500 in cash of undisclosed origin from Mayadevi Rural Municipality-2, Abhirawa in Kapilvastu district.

The cash was found concealed beneath the seat of a motorcycle (Lu 35 Pa 8959) that was travelling from Pakadi towards Charakchauda along the Pakadi–Charakchauda road on July 4 (Asar 20).

According to police, the operation was carried out based on a confidential tip-off. As officers pursued the motorcycle, the rider abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

During the inspection, police discovered Rs 548,500 hidden under the motorcycle’s seat.

Police said the seized motorcycle and the recovered cash are being prepared for handover to the Suthauli Customs Office for further legal proceedings.
