Banking News – The Government of Nepal has expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Government of the United Arab Emirates for granting a royal pardon to 111 Nepali prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 2026.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the humanitarian gesture as a reflection of the deep friendship and cordial bilateral relations between Nepal and the UAE.
According to the ministry, the royal pardon was granted in response to a request made by the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, acting under the ministry’s instructions.
The ministry said the pardoned Nepali nationals will be eligible to return to Nepal after completing the necessary legal and administrative procedures required under UAE law, provided they have no other pending legal cases or travel restrictions.
