Banking News – Nepal’s Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has launched a special campaign to address the recurring problem of electricity outages caused by frequent power tripping during the monsoon season.

According to the ministry, resolving repeated power interruptions has been given high priority as rainfall continues to increase the risk of disruptions to the electricity supply.
The Secretariat of Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha said the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has placed technical personnel and necessary equipment on 24-hour standby to respond immediately to reports of power outages.
The ministry said it has intensified efforts to identify and resolve potential monsoon-related issues in order to ensure a more reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply across the country.
Consumers experiencing electricity supply problems have been urged to contact the ministry’s toll-free hotline numbers 1150 or 1151 to report outages or lodge complaints.
