Banking News – Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to hold discussions today with representatives of Nepal’s construction sector regarding challenges facing the industry, practical difficulties experienced by contractors, and policy measures needed from the government to facilitate construction activities.

The meeting, to be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, will focus on problems seen in the construction sector, possible solutions, and ways to strengthen cooperation between the government and construction businesses.
Representatives from the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) participating in the discussion include:
- Nikolas Pandey – President
- Mukesh Pant – Senior Vice President
- Shivhari Ghimire – General Secretary
- Bal Krishna Thapa – Vice President, Bagmati Province
- Jairam Lamichhane – Former President and Advisor
According to Deepa Dahal, Press and Research Expert to the Prime Minister, the discussion will particularly emphasize making collaboration between the government and construction entrepreneurs more effective.
The meeting comes as the construction sector continues to seek timely payments, contract management reforms, and greater policy support to accelerate infrastructure development across the country.
