Banking News – Police have arrested two individuals after recovering 26.51 grams of suspected brown heroin concealed in their rectums while they were entering Nepal from India through Rangeli Municipality-6, Purano Bhansar Tol, Morang.

The arrested have been identified as 23-year-old Samyok Wanem Phago, a permanent resident of Chulachuli Rural Municipality-1, Ilam, currently residing in Pathari Shanishchare Municipality-1, Morang, and 20-year-old Bhumika Phago, who resides at the same location.

During a security check, police recovered black plastic packets hidden inside their rectums.

According to police, 15.44 grams of suspected brown heroin were recovered from Samyok Phago, while 11.07 grams were recovered from Bhumika Phago, bringing the total seizure to 26.51 grams.

The operation was carried out by a joint team from the Area Police Office, Rangeli, and the Drug Control Bureau, Biratnagar Branch.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
