Nepal Police Chief Departs for Thailand to Attend Regional Summit on Organized Crime


Banking News – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki has departed for Bangkok, Thailand, to participate in the Regional Summit on Scam Centers and Transnational Organized Crime, scheduled for Shrawan 4–5.

The summit is jointly organized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Royal Thai Police, bringing together regional law enforcement leaders to address emerging cross-border crime challenges.

Superintendent of Police Dharam Raj Bhandari is accompanying IGP Karki at the conference. Senior Nepal Police officials, including Additional Inspectors General (AIGs) and Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), bid farewell to the delegation at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The summit will focus on regional strategies, joint operations and enhanced coordination to combat organized and transnational crime, particularly scam centers operating across borders.

During IGP Karki’s absence, Additional Inspector General Rajan Adhikari will oversee the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of Nepal Police Headquarters.
