Finance Minister Launches High-Level Discussions on FY 2083/84 Budget Implementation


Banking News – Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has commenced high-level discussions aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of Nepal’s fiscal year 2083/84 budget.

The meeting, currently underway at the Suvarna Hall of the Ministry of Finance, brings together senior government officials responsible for executing the budget’s major programs and development priorities.

Chaired by Finance Minister Dr. Wagle, the meeting is attended by National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Gunakar Bhatta, Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyay, and secretaries and representatives from key ministries, including Infrastructure, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Health, Education, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Labour, Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Home Affairs, and Defence.

The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening inter-ministerial coordination, accelerating project implementation, improving budget execution, and ensuring timely delivery of priority government programs during the current fiscal year. The initiative reflects the government’s emphasis on enhancing fiscal discipline and improving the effectiveness of public expenditure to support economic growth and development.
