Banking News – Share investor Ambika Poudel has said Prime Minister Balen Shah clearly recognises the capital market’s potential to generate employment and government revenue, expressing confidence that the government will move swiftly to implement reforms in the sector.

Speaking after a meeting with the Prime Minister, Poudel said the discussion focused on the policy reforms required from Nepal Rastra Bank, the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) to promote the growth and expansion of Nepal’s capital market.

According to Poudel, Prime Minister Shah listened carefully to the concerns and recommendations raised by market stakeholders and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the capital market while restoring investor confidence.

“The Prime Minister listened to all of our concerns in depth. He clearly stated that the capital market is a key platform for capital mobilisation and has the potential to create employment opportunities,” Poudel said.
