Banking News –Malaysian fintech company Neurogine has unveiled its global expansion strategy and reaffirmed its commitment to secure financial technology and data sovereignty during a strategic briefing with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
The company said it is accelerating its international expansion beyond Southeast Asia, targeting emerging markets in South America and Eastern Europe while advancing its export plans, particularly to Myanmar.
Neurogine stated that its long-term mission is to export certified, compliant, and secure financial technology solutions that empower financial institutions and expand access to digital financial services worldwide.
During the briefing, Neurogine Chief Executive Officer Chen Chee Onn emphasized the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) and data sovereignty, urging organizations to prioritize on-premise AI deployments over free third-party AI platforms.
“Organizations must prioritize on-premise AI deployments over relying on free third-party AI platforms. When you rely on external AI models, your organization’s proprietary knowledge and sensitive intelligence are stored and owned by someone else. True digital sovereignty requires keeping your core intelligence within your own domain,” Chen said.
The company highlighted three key pillars of its strategy:
Global Expansion: Extending operations from Southeast Asia into high-growth markets across South America and Eastern Europe.
Secure Financial Technology: Leveraging its PCI SSC-certified Neurogine n2Tap platform and FIDO2-certified Neurogine nToken solution to deliver secure, scalable, and trusted financial technology services.
AI and Data Sovereignty: Promoting on-premise AI architectures that enable organizations to maintain full ownership, security, and control of their institutional data and knowledge.
Neurogine also expressed appreciation to the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) for supporting the international growth of Malaysian technology companies.
The company said the collaboration demonstrates that Malaysian technology firms are well-positioned to compete globally with secure, innovative, and internationally compliant digital solutions.
