Banking News – The Bagmati Province Government completed the construction of 44 road bridges during the fiscal year 2025/26 (FY 2082/83 BS), according to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Madan Kumar Ale Magar, said that 63.40 percent of the total budget allocated to the ministry was utilized during the fiscal year.
In addition to the bridge projects, the ministry completed the upgrading of 136.66 kilometers of gravel roads, constructed 231.31 kilometers of blacktopped and concrete roads, and built six suspension bridges for pedestrians.
The ministry also completed the construction of 17 government buildings, 102 community buildings, 940 housing units under various programs, and 17 public parks during the review period.
Furthermore, of the 41 stalled infrastructure projects under the ministry, seven have been completed, while construction work on 23 projects has resumed and has been accelerated.
The ministry said coordination is underway to restart work on the remaining 11 projects, while penalties have been imposed on four projects due to non-performance and contractual issues.
