Banking News – Activist Bedika KC has been arrested by the Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police in connection with an alleged cybercrime case.

According to Cyber Bureau spokesperson DSP Dilip Kumar Giri, KC was arrested from Jorpati, Kathmandu, by a team from the bureau based in Bhotahiti.

Police said she was taken into custody on allegations of spreading misinformation and rumors through social media platforms and various YouTube channels.

Authorities further stated that the Kathmandu District Court has granted one day of judicial remand to facilitate further investigation under Nepal’s cybercrime laws. The investigation is currently ongoing.
