Banking News – Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested a woman in connection with an insurance-related offence.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mridula Sariya, a resident of Jhapa District.

According to the CIB, Sariya was apprehended on Thursday from Sano Gaucharan, Kathmandu, after obtaining an arrest warrant from the Kathmandu District Court, Babarmahal. Police said that further investigation into the case is underway.

The investigation follows an inspection conducted by the Nepal Insurance Authority, which found that Sariya had allegedly committed insurance-related offences through Trust Insurance Broker Pvt. Ltd.
