Banking News – Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) has announced that it will merge its Maisthan Branch in Birgunj Metropolitan City with the Birgunj City Office Branch as part of its branch optimization strategy.

In a public notice issued on Shrawan 8, 2083 BS, the bank said the decision was made in response to the growing adoption of digital banking services and the adequate presence of banking and financial institution branches in the Birgunj area.

According to the notice, the Maisthan Branch, located in Ward No. 4 of Birgunj Metropolitan City, will be integrated with the Birgunj City Office Branch, located in Ward No. 6. The two branches are situated approximately one kilometre apart.

Following the merger, the integrated branch will begin operations from Kartik 16, 2083 BS (Monday). The bank stated that the consolidation is intended to enhance operational efficiency while continuing to provide uninterrupted banking services to customers.
