Metro Traffic FM Celebrates 14th Anniversary


Banking News – Metro Traffic FM 95.5 MHz marked its 14th anniversary with a special ceremony held on Friday at the Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap, under the chief guestship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki.

During the event, IGP Karki presented certificates of appreciation to partner organizations, advertisers, and outstanding drivers in recognition of their contributions. He also launched a new traffic awareness song as part of the anniversary celebrations.

Addressing the gathering, IGP Karki praised Metro Traffic FM for its continued contribution since its establishment in supporting traffic management, promoting road safety awareness, reducing road accidents, raising public awareness against crime, and providing timely, accurate, and reliable public safety information.

He expressed gratitude to the various government agencies, local governments, media professionals, and individuals whose continuous cooperation and support have contributed to the successful operation of the station. He also extended his best wishes for the FM station’s continued institutional growth.

Highlighting the Nepal Police’s emphasis on technology-driven public service delivery, IGP Karki encouraged Metro Traffic FM to further strengthen its use of social media platforms to provide citizens with faster, more efficient, and reliable information.

He also urged the station to expand its capacity by introducing innovative, high-quality, and citizen-focused programs on road safety and public security awareness. According to IGP Karki, Metro Traffic FM should continue modernizing its content and communication methods to enhance the effectiveness of its traffic awareness campaigns and better serve the public.
