Banking News – Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has urged Nepalis living abroad to remain confident in the government’s vision of “Once a Nepali, Always a Nepali,” reaffirming its commitment to maintaining strong ties with the global Nepali community.

Addressing a conference organized virtually by Nepali young entrepreneurs in Australia on Saturday, Dr. Wagle said the government and the ruling party remain firmly committed to the principle that Nepalis will always remain connected to their homeland, regardless of where they live.

“The principle of ‘Once a Nepali, Always a Nepali’ is one we firmly believe in,” Dr. Wagle said.

He described the Nepali diaspora as goodwill ambassadors for Nepal’s development and investment, emphasizing that their support is vital to the country’s economic transformation.

According to the Finance Minister, Nepal’s new government, backed by a strong public mandate, has been working to strengthen good governance and create a more favorable environment for economic growth and investment. He stressed that closer collaboration with Nepalis living abroad would play an important role in achieving these goals.

Reviewing the government’s first 100 days in office, Dr. Wagle said significant progress had been made in promoting transparency, improving public service delivery, and steering the economy toward sustainable growth.

“The work accomplished during the government’s first 100 days reflects our commitment to good governance, improving public services, and putting the economy on the right track,” he said.

Dr. Wagle also assured participants that the government would continue to facilitate the repatriation of investment returns, encouraging Nepalis in Australia to take the initiative in bringing both their own investments and foreign investment into Nepal.
