Banking News – Baitadi Traffic Police collected Rs. 1.298 million in revenue during the fiscal year 2025/26 (2082/83 BS) by taking action against 1,508 motorists for violating traffic regulations.

According to Traffic Police spokesperson Suraj Singh, enforcement actions were taken against a total of 170 trucks and tankers, 19 buses and minibuses, 754 jeeps, cars, and vans, 91 tractors, 351 motorcycles, and 123 tempo drivers during the fiscal year.

The traffic office also reported that 62 road accidents occurred in Baitadi over the same period.

The accidents resulted in 34 fatalities and 176 injuries, highlighting the continued need for stronger road safety awareness and enforcement measures in the district.
