Banking News – Nepal’s youth basketball team secured a place in the semi-finals of the International Youth Basketball Championship 2026 after registering an impressive victory over India.

The win marks another significant achievement for the Nepali side, which has continued its strong performance in the tournament being held in Bangkok, Thailand.

With the victory, Nepal progressed to the semi-final stage, keeping its hopes of winning the prestigious international youth title alive.

The International Youth Basketball Championship 2026, running from July 24 to 28, features youth teams from 15 countries, including Nepal, India, Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macau, Guam, and Taiwan.

The tournament is officially recognized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the Basketball Sport Association of Thailand, bringing together hundreds of young athletes from across Asia and beyond.

Nepal will now compete in the semi-finals as it aims to continue its impressive run in the championship.
