Banking News – Security authorities have seized garments worth approximately Rs. 141,000 suspected of being smuggled into Nepal without customs clearance from Mechinagar, Jhapa.

According to officials, the clothing items were recovered during a routine inspection conducted in the area. The goods are believed to have been imported illegally by evading customs procedures.
The seized garments have been handed over to the concerned customs authorities for further investigation and legal action in accordance with prevailing laws.
Authorities have intensified inspections along border areas to curb illegal cross-border trade and prevent revenue leakage caused by customs evasion.
