Banking News – The Department of Industry (DoI) has shifted most of its administrative and regulatory services to a fully online platform, aiming to provide faster, more convenient, and transparent services to businesses and investors.

The move follows directives from Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav, who has prioritized the digital transformation of industrial administration to eliminate the need for service seekers to make unnecessary visits to the department.
According to a public notice issued by the department, services now available online include industry registration, renewal, industry updates, relocation of industries, capital and capacity enhancement, amendments to company names and objectives, foreign investment approval, business visa recommendations, annual progress report submissions, and several other key services.
The department stated that applicants will no longer be required to visit the office in person for services that have been integrated into the online system. Where physical presence is necessary, only an authorized representative of the concerned industry or company, carrying valid identification, will be allowed to receive the service.
It also clarified that applications and supporting documents for services covered under the online system will no longer be accepted in physical form, with all procedures to be completed electronically.
The ministry said Minister Yadav has continued to emphasize technology-driven, transparent, and results-oriented industrial administration, directing the department to strengthen digital service delivery and improve overall efficiency.
