Banking News – Police have arrested Karma Tamang, a suspected chain-snatching suspect who had been on the run, after opening fire during an arrest operation in Chunikhel, Budhanilkantha Municipality-13, Kathmandu.

According to police, officers attempted to apprehend Tamang when he allegedly attacked them with a khukuri in an effort to resist arrest. In response, police fired three rounds, injuring the suspect before taking him into custody.

Police also recovered the khukuri allegedly used during the incident from Tamang’s possession.

The injured suspect is currently receiving treatment at the National Trauma Center in Kathmandu, while further investigation into the case is underway.
