Banking News – IME Khalti Limited (Khalti) has introduced a 100% cashback campaign for users renewing their DEMAT and Mero Share accounts through the Khalti app.

Under the promotional scheme, 100 lucky users will be selected every 15 days to receive 100% cashback equivalent to the amount they paid for renewing their DEMAT and Mero Share accounts. The campaign will remain valid until the end of Shrawan.

The offer comes as CDSC (CDS and Clearing Limited) has urged investors to renew their DEMAT accounts by Shrawan 15. According to CDSC, failure to pay the annual renewal fee within the deadline may result in the DEMAT account being suspended from Shrawan 16, potentially affecting share trading and other capital market transactions.

Currently, the annual renewal fee for a DEMAT account is Rs. 100, while the Mero Share renewal fee is Rs. 50.

Khalti said the campaign is aimed at encouraging users to renew their accounts on time while rewarding them through cashback benefits.

As per the scheme, users who complete their DEMAT and Mero Share renewal via the Khalti app will automatically qualify for the lucky draw, with 100 winners announced every 15 days. Each selected winner will receive cashback equal to the renewal fee paid, allowing investors to enjoy additional benefits while maintaining uninterrupted access to Nepal’s capital market services.
