Banking News – Nabil Bank Limited has launched the Nabil Bank Education Hub in Putalisadak, Kathmandu, introducing a one-stop service center designed to support students planning to pursue higher education abroad.

The hub was jointly inaugurated on Monday by Australian Ambassador to Nepal Simon Ernst, Nabil Bank Chairman Nirvana Kumar Chaudhary, and Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali. Members of the bank’s Board of Directors and senior management were also present at the inauguration ceremony.

According to the bank, the Education Hub is targeted at students aspiring to study overseas, their parents, educational consultancies, and other stakeholders in the education sector, offering integrated banking, financial, and advisory services under one roof.

Chairman Nirvana Kumar Chaudhary said the initiative aims to provide students with easier access to financial services, professional guidance, and banking support throughout their educational journey.

“Investing in education is not only an investment in an individual but also in the future of families, society, and the nation. The Education Hub has been established to strengthen Nepal’s education ecosystem and empower future generations,” he said.

He added that the bank plans to expand the initiative by establishing at least one Education Hub counter across its branch network nationwide.

Australian Ambassador Simon Ernst welcomed the initiative, stating that the Education Hub reflects the shared commitment of Nepal and Australia to investing in people through education.

He noted that transparent and reliable systems help build trust across the education sector, benefiting students, families, educational institutions, and financial service providers alike. Ernst also praised Nabil Bank’s efforts to strengthen student selection and verification processes while establishing a practical and timely one-stop support center.

Nabil Bank said education is a long-term investment in human capital, national development, and the country’s future. The bank noted that it has already supported thousands of students across Nepal through its nationwide branch network by providing education loans and banking services.

Recognizing that students and parents require more than financial assistance, the bank said the Education Hub will also offer specialized advisory services.

Board Director Ananta Paudyal said the Education Hub has been established to address the evolving needs of students and parents.

“Beyond education loans, the hub will provide banking services, financial advisory, and dedicated support throughout the entire overseas education journey,” he said, describing the initiative as another milestone in the bank’s commitment to customer-focused innovation and long-term value creation.

Unlike traditional banking services, the Education Hub aims to position Nabil Bank as a trusted financial and knowledge partner for the education sector. A dedicated team of specialists will provide fast, convenient, and personalized services.

One of the key features of the bank’s education loan is its moratorium facility, which allows students to defer regular loan installments during their study period, enabling them to focus on academics, research, skill development, and career preparation.

CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali described the initiative as the first of its kind in Nepal’s banking industry.

“With growing interest in international education, students require more than financial support. The Education Hub will integrate education loans, foreign exchange services, financial planning, and banking guidance in a single location,” he said.

Gyawali added that the center will serve as a one-stop solution for students and parents by providing both financing and advisory services throughout the overseas education process.

According to the bank, the Education Hub has been established to provide integrated banking assistance from the initial planning stage through university admission, education loan processing, foreign exchange services, study completion, and post-study loan repayment.

Nabil Bank clarified that the Education Hub is not a replacement for its nationwide branch network, but rather a specialized center designed to complement branch services by offering expert support, faster decision-making, and an enhanced customer experience.

Nabil Bank, one of Nepal’s leading private commercial banks, currently serves more than 2.6 million customers through 264 branches and 315 ATMs nationwide. With over four decades of banking experience, the bank said it continues to strengthen its “Banking and Beyond” vision to build a more inclusive and prosperous future for customers, communities, and Nepal’s economy.
