Banking News – Krishna Giri, Executive Chairman of Sun Securities Pvt. Ltd. (Broker No. 64), has announced his candidacy for the President of the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal (SBAN) in the association’s upcoming election.

Giri declared his candidacy as the association prepares to elect a new leadership following the completion of the two-year tenure of current President Sagar Dhakal.

Announcing his bid for the presidency, Giri pledged to prioritize capital market reforms, modernization, and the institutional development of Nepal’s brokerage industry.

Highlighting his extensive experience in policy-making, Giri said he intends to effectively advance key reform agendas aimed at strengthening Nepal’s capital market.

Giri has been representing the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal in policy-level discussions with the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). He also serves as the association’s representative on the committee formed by SEBON to recommend reforms in Nepal’s capital market.
