Banking News – Police have arrested four people on charges of allegedly being involved in cash and mobile phone robberies in Kathmandu.

The suspects were allegedly involved in robbery incidents in the Baneshwor area of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, Baneshthali. Those arrested have been identified as Churan Magar of Udayapur, Raj Kumar Gurung of Tanahun, Prashant Jung Shahi of Mahottari, and Bijay Babu Ghising of Ramechhap.

A police team deployed from the Balaju Police Circle arrested the four suspects during a search operation at a guesthouse room in the New Bus Park area of Kathmandu.

Police said they recovered seven mobile phones, Rs. 57,000 in cash, one lock, and one hacksaw blade from the room.

The suspects have been taken into custody, and the Kathmandu District Court has granted a five-day extension for further investigation, according to police.
