Banking News – Digital financial service provider Mbank and NMC Multipurpose Cooperative Limited have entered into a strategic partnership, enabling NMC Cooperative members to access mobile banking, digital payments and digital lending services through a single digital platform.
Mbank and NMC Cooperative signed the agreement on Jestha 29, with the services formally coming into operation from Shrawan 7. Through the partnership, more than 150,000 NMC Cooperative members will be connected to digital financial services.

Under the agreement, NMC Cooperative members will be able to use banking, payment and lending services through Mbank’s digital platform via a single electronic system. The partnership between Mbank, which has been active in digital financial services for the past decade, and NMC Cooperative, which has a large membership base, is expected to accelerate the digital transformation of the cooperative sector.
With the partnership, NMC Cooperative members will be able to conduct financial transactions in a more convenient, faster, secure and technology-friendly manner. The strategic collaboration is also expected to contribute to expanding access to digital financial services across Nepal.
The partnership between Mbank and NMC Cooperative is expected to create new opportunities by connecting cooperative members with modern financial technology and further strengthening Nepal’s digital financial sector. Mbank said it is advancing a model that goes beyond traditional mobile banking by integrating banking, payments and lending services into a single digital platform.
