Banking News – The Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which began on Tuesday at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, has continued to attract a significant number of visitors on its second day. The exhibition, organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (Naima), remained crowded due to the strong turnout.

Visitors at the expo have been selecting and booking cars and motorcycles of their choice. According to participating companies, visitors have shown similar interest in both high-priced and affordable cars and motorcycles.

Dinesh Maharjan, who visited the expo from Dillibazar, Kathmandu, said the Naima Expo provided an important opportunity to purchase a car according to his budget. He said he had planned to buy a car during the expo and was finding it difficult to choose among the many brands offering attractive prices and features. He said he had already test-driven around 18 to 20 vehicles since 11:30 a.m. when he was met at the expo at 3 p.m.

A large number of visitors were seen sitting in vehicles of different brands and learning about their features and specifications. Visitors showed particular interest in battery capacity, motor, driving range and after-sales services. Companies have also introduced various offers to attract customers, including price discounts, one-year insurance, one-year vehicle tax, free servicing and loans at lower interest rates.

Four new models from different brands were launched on the second day of the expo. On the opening day Tuesday, various brands had unveiled 48 new vehicle models. More than 26,000 people visited the expo on the second day, while more than 29,000 visitors attended on the opening day. The organizers expect around 150,000 visitors throughout the expo.

More Than 300 Participate in Mobility Dialogue

As part of the expo, a Learning Session was held on Wednesday on the theme “Mobility Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.” The discussion was attended by House of Representatives member and chairperson of the Infrastructure Development Committee Ashish Gajurel, SSP Suresh Prasad Kafle, chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Saroj Sitaula, president of the Nepal Transportation Entrepreneurs National Federation, Anukul Nidhi, expert adviser at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and traffic and transportation engineer, and former NADA Automobile Association president Dhurva Bahadur Thapa. Journalist Tikaram Yatri moderated the session.

More than 300 people actively participated in Wednesday’s mobility dialogue. On the first day of the expo, a discussion was held on “Investment and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI): Mobilizing-Fuel for Economic Growth.” The organizers said the Naima Mobility Dialogue will continue throughout the expo with participation from domestic and international experts.

Electric Vehicles Remain Major Attraction

The second edition of the expo has been organized with the objective of promoting a sustainable, green and technology-friendly transportation system in Nepal. The six-day expo will continue until Shrawan 31.

Domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers have significant participation in the expo. Electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles from brands entering Nepal for the first time, along with various new models, have emerged as major attractions.
