Banking News – The Gas Sellers Federation Nepal has urged the government to immediately stop the direct sale of cooking LPG gas from gas industries and various designated sales centers amid a severe shortage of cooking gas across the country.
Federation President Gyaneshwar Aryal said the decision to bypass the established distributor/dealer network and sell gas directly through industries and different centers has further complicated the shortage and forced consumers to endure unnecessary hardship.

The federation expressed strong dissatisfaction with what it described as the government’s practice of selling gas directly in the name of the government, industries and sales centers while causing difficulties for regular dealers under the guise of monitoring.
The federation has called on the government to immediately stop sales from gas industries and various designated sales centers and resume distribution exclusively through authorized dealers.
According to the federation, restoring the dealer-based distribution system would help ease the difficulties faced by consumers and address the actual problems in LPG gas distribution.
